The conference is part of the East and West Philosophy in Dialogue Symposium (20 – 28 June 2023) taking place in Pari (Pari Center) and Rome (Sapienza and Pontifical Academy of Social Science. The event as a whole is a celebration of Chinese philosophy and its global perspectives and will explore how traditionally Eastern emphases on holism may relate to the contemporary worldview and pressing environmental and social challenges.

The Sapienza program will focus on Eastern philosophy and sustainability, and is part of the last three days of the symposium, with discussions on cross-cultural dialogue, the Global Commons, and the 17 U.N. Sustainable Development Goals.
